A grad student decides that staying with a strange Amish-type group in rural New Jersey to work on his dissertation is a good idea, but he has no idea that he is somehow being set up as a pawn for something dark, ancient & monstrous to awaken. This is the best horror novel that I have ever read (and I've read a lot of them).
